The St Andrews Summit, formerly known as the St Andrews Speaker Conference, is poised to be be an event to mark on the UK’s 2025 geopolitical calendar. This landmark summit will convened with a dedicated focus on the geopolitics of emerging technologies, making it a pivotal forum for global leaders and innovators shaping the future.

Run for over two decades by the St Andrews University Department of International Relations and a prominent student-led society, and this year an independent spin-out supported by The Pinsker Centre, the summit is built upon a formidable legacy of intellectual rigour and interdisciplinary collaboration.

At the heart of the summit is the belief that emerging technologies such as AI, quantum computing, and biotechnology are shaping not only the future of industries but also the geopolitical landscape. In this era of global fragmentation, where political, economic, and social divides are deepening, the St Andrews Summit offers a unique space for key stakeholders to

Warfare and Global Security. This panel will focus on the integration of AI, drones, and autonomous weapons, as well as hybrid strategies, into military strategy, their impact on global conflict, and how are they expected to reform modern militaries.

An investigation of how blockchain technologies are disrupting traditional governance structures, fostering transparency, and enabling decentralised decision-making. Accommodation options are being arranged in collaboration with local hotels, with discounted rates available for summit participants. Early booking is highly recommended as rooms are expected to fill up quickly.
Accommodation and transportation will be covered for many StAS '25 panelists, speakers and some other summit contributors.
A list of recommended hotels offering special rates for summit attendees will be provided. These hotels are within very easy walking distance of the main summit venues.
St Andrews is well-connected via rail, bus, and air. The nearest Int. airport is Edinburgh Airport, which offer direct international flights to and from most major destinations. Shuttle services and rides to and from Edinburgh Airport and Leuchars Train Station to St Andrews will be available for summit participants.
